EDMONTON Saturday Feb. 27, 2010: The sixth ranked Keyano College women’s volleyball team fell three straight to the No. 2 ranked Mount Royal College Cougars 25-17, 25-15, 25-16 at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Association’s 2009-2010 provincial championships being held at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton. Samantha Hicks was Player of the Game for the Huskies.  Huskies were out spiked at the net wirth 20 kills compared to 43 for the Cougars. Huskies will play Briercrest Clippers at 1 p.m. today in the double knockout elimination format. Clippers had lost to the host Griffins in their opening match 16-25, 27-29, 25-22, 18-25. Griffins are the silver medal winners from 2008-2009. Game details will be published when available.The winner of the tournament will earn a berth in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association championship, which will be held in Gatineau, Que., from March 12-14.
