Sunday Jan 24, 2010 - Keyano College Huskies men’s and women's futsal teams participated in the inaugural Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference futsal tournament this past weekend at Lloydminster’s Commonwealth Centre  An exhibition sport in the ACAC with three tournaments scheduled for 2010, the Huskies men defeated Briercrest Clippers 5-1 in their opening match and then lost to Medicine Hat College Rustlers 4-1 and the host Lakeland College Rustlers 12-1. Their final game was a 6-2 loss to Lakeland.

“We have been practicing since mid November and this was our first real games,” said Huskies assistant coach Lonny Outhouse. “Our best game was our last game (held Sunday, while the previous three games were played Saturday) as we buckled down and played a much better game.” Outhouse stated that Huskies’ Ken Beleshi and Abdelliah Jyad had “a good weekend” on the indoor pitch.
