Sunday Feb 14, 2010 - Keyano College Huskies men’s and women's futsal teams participated in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference second futsal tournament of 2010 this past weekend at Medicine Hat’s Exhibition & Stampede Centre. 

The Huskies men lost all three of their matches; 3-1 to Mount Royal, 5-4 to Medicine Hat Rattlers and 7-4 to Lakeland. “In our first two games we gave up three goals in the first five minutes to both of the opposing teams,” said head coach Jonathan Soper. “For some reason it takes us 10 to 15 minutes to get into the groove of playing.”

Soper noted strong play by veteran Kahunu (Ken) Beleshi along with goalie Louis Fossi. Fossi, in Grade 11, was brought up for the experience as he is also training for the 2010 Arctic Winter Games.
