By Trevor Howlett, Fort McMurray TODAYAfter a very successful home-opener weekend, both Keyano College Huskies soccer teams are looking to keep the good times going as they travel to Grande Prairie this weekend to play the Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference action this weekend. The women's team is looking to build off the unprecedented improvement that their team and program have made this season. The Huskies had never previously scored more than seven goals in a season, but already have four this season, all scored last weekend at home. Coach Ian Diaz expects a tougher challenge from the Wolves. "They're a little bit stronger and they have more weapons than King's had," said Diaz. "The key for us to stay healthy and having time to relax. It's going to be tough because we have a long bus ride and we can't leave until 4 p.m. That'll have us arriving at one or two in the morning, but hopefully the girls can rest up and find a solution." The women's huskies will be a bit shorthanded this weekend as striker Alannah Morton is serving a two-game suspension for a red card on Sunday. Keyano plays at 2 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday. The Keyano men's Huskies team expects another strong performance this weekend against Grande Prairie. Head coach Jonathan Soper said the key to victory is for his squad to play their positions. "Defense is going to be critical this weekend," said Soper. "We need to play our positions and play discipline on our backline and we should be fine." Faced with a couple of injuries in the back of the pitch, the Huskies have shifted a few players around but they'll still have a short bench this weekend. Soper expects big games from Cristhian Garces-Lopes and Ryan McNally who both had two goals last Sunday. "I expect Cristhian Garces to have a big game, I think he'll score two or three goals this weekend," said Soper. "I really Ryan McNally will add a few too, he'll show his stuff." The Men's Huskies play the Wolves at 4 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday
