Friday Nov 13, 2009 The game on Friday was the first time this season the Huskies played with a complete team. This contributed to some sloppy play in the offensive zone. The game was very physical, as Olds looked to use their height and size advantage over the Huskies. The final score was 59-35 in favour of Olds. Positives for the Huskies on this day were their commitment to learning a new defensive system and giving their best effort for the entire game. Saturday Nov 14, 2009 The Huskies came to play on Saturday. They had energy right from the beginning and it showed on the score board-at half time the two teams were tied 27-27. They used their defensive energy to fuel their game. The zone defence the Huskies played caused Olds trouble all afternoon. April Weigelt showed hustle, energy and was a key contributor to the improved performance of the Huskies defence. The final score for the game was 58-56 in favour of Olds. While the Huskies were not successful on the score board, they have started to develop the work ethic and positive communication needed to be successful the rest of the season. |
