Keyano Women’s once again faced strong winds during their game, and this combined with playing on a turfed surface created a very fast paced game. The Huskies came out strong and had a number of early scoring opportunites but were unabale to capitialize. Grant Mac opened the scoring in the 40th min of the game, followed by another goal in the 44th min of the game, to go to into half time 2-0. Early in the second half the Huskies were awarded a penalty kick, but were unable to put the ball away. Grant Mac secured the game with a nice shot late in the second half to end the game 3-0. Grant Mac won the provincial championship and represented the ACAC at Nationals last season, the Huskies played their best game of the season against the defending champions, with Candice Wade earning player of the game.
