Sunday Jan 24, 2010 - Keyano College Huskies men’s and women's futsal teams participated in the inaugural Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference futsal tournament this past weekend at Lloydminster’s Commonwealth Centre 

In women's action, the Huskies won their opening match 4-3 against Briercrest; "We were down 3-0 at halftime and then we came back in the second half to win," said head coach Mark Oxer. "The girls calmed their nerves down and played our game."  Late penalty shots in the closing minutes proved the downfall in the second match of the day as Lakeland won 4-2. Matched up against a strong Medicine Hat squad, the Huskies lost 6-1 in the third game. "They were a very good team and our girls were still demoralized from the previous game where we lost on penalty shots." The final game Saturday ended in a 1-1 tie against Kings University College Eagles. Huskies lone game Sunday was a 5-1 loss to Lakeland. Oxer noted all-around play for Huskies' Hailey Stroeder and Dena Yaghi.
