Keyano College Huskies Athletics announced today that Women’s Volleyball student-athlete Amanda Onyeukwu (Piadena, Italy) and Men's Basketball student-athlete Efosa Omorogbe (Hamilton, Ont.) have been recognized as the All In Sports Den Keyano Huskies Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 16, 2025.
The pair played key roles for their respective sides as they closed out the 2024-25 regular season for Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) play.
Onyeukwu recorded six kills, nine digs, and one block in the team’s final two games of the regular season. She recorded three kills in each match, securing seven digs and a block in Saturday’s regular season finale.
Onyeukwu finished the 2024-25 season with 133 kills and 1.82 kills per set, the third-best average on the team. She also accumulated 134 digs, 28 aces, and 23 blocks.
In her career with the Huskies, the second year opposite hitter has recorded 265 kills, 186 digs, 53 blocks, and 45 aces.
On the home court for the final time this season, Omorogbe impressed in Saturday’s 90-66 win with a season-high 19 points. His performance came primarily from beyond the arc, with five made three-point shots. He also went a perfect four-for-four on free throws in the game, adding one rebound and two assists.
The 19 points were one off his career-best total with his five three-pointers being one off his career-best of six in a single game.

Omorogbe and the Men’s Basketball Huskies, having clinched the top spot in the ACAC’s North Division, will now travel to the ACAC Men’s Basketball Championship, hosted by the Briercrest College Clippers.
