16 student-athletes recognized with CCAA National Scholar Award
Keyano College Huskies Athletics proudly announces that 16 student-athletes have been recognized by the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) as National Scholar Award recipients for the 2024-25 academic year.
"Balancing the demands of academics and athletics is no small feat,” said Keyano Huskies General Manager Jeremy Wielenga. “This award recognizes their outstanding achievement in both areas.”
This prestigious award celebrates student-athletes who excel academically by achieving honours standing while competing in CCAA intercollegiate athletics.
To qualify, a student-athlete must attain honours standing at their institution during the current academic year.
Keyano Huskies Volleyball alumni Anderson King and Karlene Kaminski capped off their respective collegiate careers with their third-straight National Scholar Award honour. King was also recognized as a CCAA Academic All-Canadian at the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year.
Nicole Gauvin, Rofyda Khaleel, Khloe Webber, and Gage Weinrauch each earned their second-consecutive academic honour.
