Men's Volleyball Huskies sweep Lions, advance to ACAC Championship semifinal
The Keyano Huskies punched their ticket to the semifinals at the 2026 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men's Volleyball Championship with a straight-sets victory against the Ambrose Lions (25-22, 25-23, 25-15) Thursday afternoon.
Arthur Silveira led the Huskies with 15 kills, complemented by seven kills from Brody Kopec, five from Tim Ebbs, and four by Noah Rigney.
Rigney led the Huskies with three of the team's eight blocks, one ahead of Silveira's pair of stops. Kopec, Ebbs, and Logan Bocuher also added single blocks in the win.
Following two intense sets to start the match, the Huskies cruised out of the gate in the third to win the final set by 10.
Handling setting duties for the Huskies, Kai Rosnau had 23 assists while libero Kaylen Desmarais-Joseph led the team with six digs. Silveira and Ebbs had the lone aces for the Huskies on the day.
The win was the Huskies' fourth-straight quarter-final victory at the ACAC Men's Volleyball Championship, dropping just one set in those four matches.
Up next for the Huskiesis a Friday night date in the semifinals against the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves. First serve is scheduled for 6:00pm.
