Men's Volleyball Huskies top Wolves to advance to ACAC Championship game
The Keyano Huskies are bound for the Gold Medal game at the 2026 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men's Volleyball Championship following a straight-sets victory Friday.
Facing off against the NWP Wolves, the Huskies took the match 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 28-26) to secure their fifth-ever appearance in an ACAC Men's Volleyball Championship game and second in three seasons.
ACAC North Division Rooke of the Year Arthur Silveira collected 15 kills, four digs, and two blocks to lead the Huskies. Brody Kopec joined him in the double-digit kill club, handing out 11 kills in the match to go along with a team-leading eight digs. Kai Rosnau equalled Kopec's dig performance with eight of his own, adding 27 assists from the setter position.
Tim Ebbs rounded out the top trio of attackers with seven kills in the match.
In the other semifinal, the host Red Deer Polytechnic Kings also won in straight sets, defeating the Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks.
The Huskies and Kings will meet in the championship game. The game will be available on ACACTV.ca.
