Men's Volleyball Huskies earn Silver Medal at ACAC Championship
The Keyano Huskies Men’s Volleyball team are returning from the 2026 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men’s Volleyball Championship with a Silver medal, the ninth ACAC medal in the team’s history.
“It was a great run to the finals,” Head Coach Keegan Kuhr said. “Losing that match was heartbreaking. We worked so hard all year for that moment, and it just didn’t go our way.
“That said, I am incredibly proud of this group. A silver medal is something to be proud of.”
The Huskies fell in Saturday’s Gold Medal game to the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings by a 3-1 (24-26, 25-20, 19-25, 22-25) score. Arthus Silveira led the Huskies with 15 kills, complemented by 12 kills from Brody Kopec and 10 from Tim Ebbs.
Kai Rosnau dished out 40 assists in the match while Kaylen Desmarais-Joseph had 11 digs to top all players from both sides of the court.
Arthur Silveira led the Huskies with 45 kills through the three games at the tournament. Libero Kaylen Desmarais-Joseph led the team with 71 digs, and Kai Rosnau led the Huskies with 90 assists.
The trio of Desmarais-Joseph, Silveira, and Rosnau all earned ACAC Championship Tournament All-Star selections for their performances.
