Men's Volleyball Huskies sweep away Trojans at home
The Keyano Huskies Men's Volleyball team took care of business at home Friday, defeating the SAIT Trojans in straight sets 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-18) inside the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray.
Arthur Silveira led the way with 19 kills in the three-set match. While the Huskies preveiled, the Trojans kept close with the Huskies in each set before the home side pulled away. Fellow countrymen Rafael Parada Lima added 10 kills in th match for the Huskies.
Jonah Deranger and Parada Lima each earned Player of the Game honours for their respective sides.
The Huskies improved to 5-0 with the win, one of two undefeated sides left in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) this season. The Huskies will face that other 5-0 team, the Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks, in their final home game of the first semester. First serve is scheduled for 8:00pm.
